About Hangul Block
Hangul Block is a hobby spelling board. An English word appears, such as apple, and you fill Hangul syllable blocks with romanization keys. You do not need a Korean keyboard. The blocks fill as you tap.
What it is for
English speakers kept asking why “kimchi” does not start with k on a sound board. Korean writes the sounds of a syllable, not the English spelling. This page is practice for that, one word at a time. It is not a class, not a fluency course, and not a grade.
What stays on this device
There is no account. A streak and the current board can be saved in this browser under the key hangulblock.v1. Clearing site data removes them. Practice rounds are not written into the streak.
Who runs it
One person, the same hobby publisher as the sister wheel at Korea Spinner. This site does not publish a street address, a phone number, or an email. The contact page is how a correction is written down. Adult soju-table games are a different site and are 18+ only.
